Description

The Tradim 5005PD-ZB is a compact Zigbee 3.0 pulse dimmer designed to integrate conventional lighting into a Zigbee smart home system. Installed behind an existing momentary push switch or wall switch, it maintains local manual control while simultaneously enabling smart operation through a compatible Zigbee gateway.

The dimmer supports both trailing edge (RC) and leading edge (RL) dimming technologies. For LED applications, trailing edge (RC) operation is recommended due to its higher load capacity and superior dimming stability.

The adjustable minimum and maximum dim levels allow the dimming range to be optimised for the connected load. This reduces flickering, prevents lamps from switching off at low dim levels and ensures smooth dimming performance.

The integrated soft start function reduces inrush current and contributes to a longer service life of connected light sources.

Thanks to Zigbee 3.0 functionality, the dimmer also operates as a router within the Zigbee mesh network, extending network coverage and improving communication between Zigbee devices.
